This course is ideal for those who already hold a forklift certificate/licence and wish to convert to another machine type. For example, converting from a counterbalance forklift to a reach forklift truck. The length of this course will vary depending on which forklift truck you are already qualified in operating and the one converting too.
Once training has been completed, you will be required to complete three basic elements of testing that you need to successfully pass; a theory, pre-use inspection and a practical skills test. All of these tests need to be passed for you to obtain your certificate and operator card. Furthermore, if you wish to be ITSSAR registered this can be added onto your course and you will receive a certificate and ID card.
Course length could be shortened if the course is not booked at full capacity.

What is a Counterbalance forklift?
A Counterbalance forklift truck is a straightforward forklift that allows you to manoeuvre up to the exact position of the load you are trying to move. This is because of the forks that extend from the front of the forklift. One advantage of a counterbalance forklift is that they can be used both indoors and outdoors.
It is important not to overload a counterbalance forklift because if the load is heavier than the weight at the back then the forklift can tip over.
