ALLMI – Lorry Loader

Our ALLMI refresher course is perfect for experienced HIAB operators who need to renew their certification. If you have already achieved your HIAB licence but it was longer than five years ago, then this course will refresh your skills and knowledge and help you pass the test.

The ALLMI Operator course consists of 15 modules (depending on whether the candidate is a novice or experienced operator). Both the one and two day courses culminate in a written and practical examination.  ALLMI is notified (by our team) of all courses in advance of the training taking place, so that unannounced instructor audits can be carried out.

The assessment process is set by ALLMI and administered by our instructor. It consists of two theoretical assessments and one practical. The theoretical assessments consist of a set of multiple choice and ‘open’ questions, as well as questions which relate specifically to the crane attachment being used. The practical assessment is designed to identify whether the candidate has the appropriate practical skills to operate a lorry loader safely and efficiently.

If you manage to successfully complete the refresher course you will:

• Receive an identity card and certificate which are valid for five years after completion
• Be registered on the ALLMI Operator database
• Be given the ALLMI Operators manual.

Your identity card and certificate will again be valid for another five years, until which point you will need to complete another refreshers course.

ALLMI Operator training is the UK’s only lorry loader training programme to be commended by the Health & Safety Executive. The programme is also recognised by Build UK and is referenced within the organisation’s official “Training Standard”.
