Our IPAF 1b, 3a & 3b demonstrator training is a 1 day course, covering both theory and practical training.

This course trains a demonstrator how to familiarise other operators regarding their roles and responsibilities, as well as demonstrating pre-operational checks and safe procedures. You will also cover the limitations of the MEWP category. This course will cover various aspects regarding the use and functionality of MEWPs. This ensures accurate, safe use of the machine applicable.

The course is ideal for site supervisors and managers as it’s important that they are able to show others how to properly operate MEWPs. Additionally, those who are demonstrating powered access platforms to customers will also need to have taken this course and secured the correct qualification.

In order to complete demonstrator training, you must have already completed and passed an operator course for the relevant machine.

Complete 1b, 3a & 3b IPAF Demonstration With 2 Start

During this course, you must show that you can carry out the necessary tasks revolving around the role of the demonstrator. You must be able to familiarise other operators regarding their responsibilities, and demonstrate safe pre-operational and operating procedures within the correct regulations.

Also, you must be able to identify the limitations of MEWPs.

Course Elements

Carrying out the pre-use checks for the 1b static boom, 3a mobile vertical and 3b mobile boom equipment
Daily maintenance which must be carried out before the use of these MEWPs.
The correct and safe methods of operating a 1b, 3a & 3b MEWP
The emergency procedures for all three IPAF equipment
Specifications and limitations of each machine type in order to enable safe operation

Gain Your Demonstrator Certification

Once you successfully complete your demonstrator training, you will receive your IPAF certification for Demonstrator training on all 3 IPAF apparatuses. This certification is authorised by the International Powered Access Federation, and is added to your Powered Access Licence (PAL) card.
