What is PASMA?
PASMA stands for Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association. This is a widely-recognised qualification for those who work at height using Mobile Access Towers. Find out more about PASMA here: About PASMA
What Does PASMA Training Cover?
On our PASMA towers for users course, you will cover: how to assemble, dismantle and move mobile access towers, as well as how to complete inspections on prefabricated mobile access towers.
Once you have successfully passed your PASMA training, you will receive your PASMA ticket/qualification, which may lead you to think, ‘what does a PASMA ticket cover?’ which depends on which PASMA course you opt to complete and the reasons you completed your course.
Do I Need PASMA Training?
Whilst PASMA training is not a legal requirement, it is still favourable amongst employers as it shows you are compliant and professionally trained at working on Mobile Access Towers at height. PASMA remains the industry leading awarding body for this kind of work, and is recognised throughout the UK.
Additionally, employers have a responsibility to ensure their staff receives the proper training needed to carry out their job.
A common question we see amongst candidates is ‘do you need PASMA to use a tower?’ PASMA training is useful for anyone who is looking to use Mobile Access Towers and will help you stay safe when using them.
