Anyone who wishes to gain their PCV licence, which includes those wanting to operate passenger vehicles, such as buses & minibuses, will need to complete their PCV theory tests. The tests you need to complete include the Multiple-Choice & Hazard Perception theory tests both of which are similar to the car theory tests, but are specific to PCV driving.

Completing this theory revision is beneficial because it is more interactive than using a book and includes numerous features, such as unlimited PCV mock theory and hazard tests and up-to-date information, giving you the best chance at passing.

This revision is suitable for anyone wanting to gain their D1, D1+E, D, and D+E licences.

The PCV Theory Tests

When working towards gaining your PCV licence, the first step will always be to pass your PCV theory test, which enables you to move on to practical training, and test. The PCV theory test consists of two separate tests, the Multiple-Choice and Hazard Perception tests.

Both tests will need to be completed and passed to get an overall pass for your PCV theory. The Multiple-Choice and Hazard Perception tests can be taken on the same day, but need to be passed within two years of each other, otherwise, you will need to pass both tests again.

The PCV Multiple-Choice Test

When completing the Multiple-Choice section of your theory test, you will have 115 minutes to answer all the test questions, with there being 100 in total. Purchasing and completing this theory test training will give you a close-to-real-life experience of what you will see on your actual test, with relevant and current information and questions.

To be successful in passing your Multiple-Choice test, you will need to score at least 85 questions correctly.

The PCV Hazard Perception Test

The PCV Hazard Perception test is comprised of 19 videos, each video testing the participants’ awareness of developing hazards. 18 of the clips will show 1 developing hazard, with 1 of the clips showing 2 developing hazards.

To register when you see a developing hazard, you will need to click on the screen, with each hazard worth 5 marks.

To pass, you will need to score at least 67 out of 100 marks available.
