Course Requirements
Anyone who is planning to operate a vehicle for hire or reward must hold a Driver’s Qualification card (DQC). This is awarded when you complete the Initial Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training. Typically completed during your hazard perception & multiple-choice theory tests, you will have full access to online revision to help you be test ready.
Ongoing Requirements
Once you pass your Module 2 CPC, you will then need to complete your 3a off-road and 3b on-road driver training. Then, you will complete your Module 4 Initial CPC Training. All these tests must be passed before you can operate a vehicle commercially.
you don’t need to recomplete the Module 2 CPC if you pass, or any of the other training or tests you will complete after the fact. The only requirement you have as a professional driver is to complete 35 hours of the periodic CPC in every 5-year period. This will keep your Driver’s Qualification Card (DQC) valid.
Test Requirements
You can book your Module 2 test once you have received your provisional licence.
The test is comprised of 7 case studies. You must work through these, and there will be between 6-8 multiple-choice questions for each case study.
The pass mark is 40 out of 50 questions. Once you pass your test, you will receive a letter at the test centre, which is valid for 2 years.
Further Training
Further training includes completing the Module 4 Initial CPC training & test.
Earning Potential
Earning potential is dependent on when you complete your training and testing for either Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) or Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCVs).

Who is this course for?
The Module 2 Theory Revision is for those who passed their car tests after 1997 and looking to drive for hire or reward (professionally) and also completing the initial CPC training, followed by the periodic CPC training thereafter.
What can I drive with a Mod 2 Certification?
The Mod 2 initial CPC doesn’t permit you to drive anything. This only lets you complete the theory aspect of your initial CPC training. You will still need to complete your driver training, as well as the 3a, 3b & mod 4 tests.
What will you receive upon successful completion?
As this is only the revision of the Module 2 CPC, you don’t receive anything from 2 Start, other than login credentials for theory revision. You will receive a letter at the test centre after you complete the test which will say whether you passed or failed.
