Module 7 | Siting the Lorry Loader | Key considerations upon arrival at a deliver site, including typical hazards that might prevent loader operation. The importance of establishing a cordon and checking to ensure the proposed lift falls within scope of the Lift plan before proceeding or reporting to the appointed person for guidance. |

Course Requirements
Those who are looking to complete the Novice course do not need to have any previous experience with operating a Lorry Loader. Anyone who is looking to complete refresher training will need to show proof of their current certification before they can enrol. You will be required to wear PPE for your training.
Ongoing Requirements
You will be permitted to complete the refresher training for the Hook attachment every five years. Although, we understand that requirements can change. So, we also offer a brick grab and hook package.
Test Requirements
You will need to complete a theory and practical test for the use of a Lorry Loader with a Hook attachment. This is so that you get the comprehensive learnings and understand all legislations, regulations and safety standards. You will be tested on the safe movement of the attachment, which includes manoeuvring, picking up and placing cargo.
Further Training
If you are planning to drive a lorry loader to other locations, then you will need a Category C licence. You can also train for other lorry mounted crane attachments, such as a Brick Grab or Clamshell.
