Also known as room scaffolds or podium steps, low level work platforms provide access up to a platform height no greater than 2.5 metres. Typically lightweight, these tower types are easy to manoeuvre, and can fold away for simple storage or transportation. The PASMA Low-Level Access Course is suitable for beginners and experienced users and typically takes half a day to complete.

Course Requirements
To attend this course, you must bring the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the day of your training.
Ongoing requirements
Although training is not a legal requirement, it is highly sought after and many who are in a job role which requires the use of towers will be expected to have completed training to remain safe and compliant.
The PASMA certification provides anyone the information that the card holder has demonstrated the required level of competence with regards to the knowledge and practical skills to safely erect, dismantle, and work with mobile towers.
Test Requirements
Two assessments are conducted within your course.
You will first complete a theory assessment which you must achieve an 80% pass mark.
You must also complete a practical assessment, where you will be showing that you can safely assemble, dismantle, alter and manoeuvre a low-level access tower.
At the end of this, and whether your instructor says your successfully passed, you will be added to the PASMA database. This will show that you have completed the appropriate training to work on low-level access towers.
Further Training
As long as you update your certification every five years, you will still be a valid PASMA operator member. You could also complete your Category C1 training if you will be transporting your own PASMA equipment.

- Have never used or handled towers before
- Have previously and currently use towers, but have never completed the appropriate training
- Looking to complete the course again after their previous certification has expired
You should also consider that working with PASMA towers involves practical work, many from heights. You must be in good health and shouldn’t have problems with heights.
What can I use my PASMA Certification for?
The Low-Level Access certification permits user to handle scaffolding equipment for heights of under 2.5 metres. Anything over this, then you will need to complete Towers for Users training.
What will you receive upon successful completion of this course?
Once you successfully complete this PASMA course, and pending if you paid an additional fee, you will be issued with a Certificate and Photocard. This card is proof that you have received PASMA accredited training and that you are competent at working on Low Level Access.
