Course Requirements
You course will include a knowledge-based assessment. This assessment determines whether you have understood and retained the information provided throughout your course. The assessment length and content will depend on whether you booked a 1-day or 2-day course.
Ongoing Requirements
You can complete this course as and when you feel you need updated training. Typically every five years is the minimum requirement for individuals. This course is completed either on your own accord, or advised by the Traffic Commissioners to complete yourself as an operator.
Test Requirements
You course will include a knowledge-based assessment. This assessment determines whether you have understood and retained the information provided throughout your course. The assessment length and content will depend on whether you booked a 1-day or 2-day course.
Further Training
Further training can include repeating the OLAT course as and when you need to either refresh your current knowledge with the most recent or updated. Or, when a Traffic Commissioner submits you to complete this as a legal requirement.
Earning Potential
Anyone who completes this course could be planning to become a nominated transport manager. You could see earning potential of up to £47,000.
Alternatively, you could be a transport professional, in which you could see a salary of between £25,000 and £38,000 annually.

What can I drive with an OLAT Certification?
The OLAT certification doesn’t allow you to operate any vehicle. This course only allows you to refresh your knowledge for commercial transport operations, making you more confident in the understanding of the laws, legislations and regulations around road haulage vehicles.
What will you receive upon successful completion of this course?
Once you pass the training and successfully complete the assessment provided, you will be awarded a certificate of completion. This will show that you completed the relevant training covering the core competencies needed as an operator, and you understand the information covered in each module relevant to your job role.
