The Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA) virtual cards were first used in 2022, and have been in place to help phase out plastic cards. Now that many operators have transitioned to the use of a virtual operators card, PASMA are still pushing for businesses and operators to hold virtual certifications.
As of 31st March 2025, businesses need to either opt in or out for the virtual cards. From 1st June 2025, anyone who hasn’t responded will automatically be opted in for the virtual cards. These cards are accessible on the PASMA TowerSure app.
What do you need to know?
To access your card, you will need the following:
- Certificate number
- Name
- Date of Birth
This makes your licence more accessible, and it will still show what training you have completed and what towers you are certified to operate on. Be aware that the name you give before your course starts will be the same name used to access your PASMA card on the TowerSure app. Once you are logged into the app, you can select the profile icon (in the top right) and you will see your virtual card.
However, if you still want a physical card, these will still be available for an additional cost.

What are 2 Start doing?
2 Start will be moving forward with the virtual PASMA cards. Although, we will still offer the physical cards for the additional £30 cost.
When you come to one of our training depots to complete PASMA training, you will be instructed to download the TowerSure App to create a swift process for you to access your virtual card, if you wish to do so.
