Moffett Forklift Training

A Moffett is a forklift truck that is mounted to the back of a lorry. Also called a lorry mounted forklift. It can perform a number of tasks that regular forklifts can, such as carrying loads, but it is light enough that it can be transported on the back of a truck. A major advantage of using a this truck type is that it can save money and time as you won’t need to pay to deliver a forklift, as well as the products. At 2 Start, we offer a variety of forklift courses to suit you. The lorry mounted forklift is ideal for industry use as its light, which means it can be transported on the back of a lorry, making for more efficient delivery. These machines are perfect for carrying loads and performing most tasks regular forklifts can do. Using a Moffett truck, drivers can quickly unload the cargo without waiting for help, increasing productivity and overall turnaround. We provide different Moffett Forklift Truck Training for different levels. We offer a novice course which will take five days to complete, an experienced operators’ course that takes three days, and a one-day refresher course. Once you have passed your training, you will receive your operating card and certificate, and your training will be updated on The Trained Operator Passport Scheme (TOPS) Although you do not need a driving licence to complete this training, lorry mounted forklifts are generally-stored on the back of a vehicle. This would mean that you would likely need a class 1, Class 2, or 7.5 Tonne licence to drive the category vehicle the forklift is attached to. It’s a legal requirement to complete this training before operating the Moffett truck, and you must be over the age of 18 to do so. This course is only available to be completed at our Portsmouth training centre.
